Hired by her childhood friend and ex-fiance Phillip Fleming to spend the summer keeping his wild teenage daughter company, and out of trouble, writer Ann Barker gets more than the nice change of pace she was looking for. Phillip's high-society wife has recently been murdered in cold blood, and while Ann never believes for a moment that Phillip is guilty, she wonders who is.
