Chase Banister was the most stubborn man in all of England, as far as Melanie Sandford was concerned. He wanted Melanie's little house--which had been willed to her by his aunt Hilary, who'd left the rest of her substantial estate to him. But Chase was a land developer with plans for the whole property.

Melanie wouldn't sell, though. She loved this place; quite simply, it was her home. Hers and six-year-old Ben's....
