Part-Time Wizard

As a couple of hayseeds in the big city, Sam and Frannie may be in trouble, but, as wizards, they're a disaster! When Frannie yearns for adventure and riches, Sam gives in and packs the bags. In Albuquerque, they are mugged as soon as they get off the bus, duped by a fake cop, jailed by a real one, and chased by gangsters. While Fran is kidnapped by, and falls for, the leader of the gangsters, Sam learns that his mugger is an over-grown teenager and wins him over with a display of kindness and…magic. When Fran uses her powers to fix a horse race, it nearly costs Sam all his money. With each obstacle, their relationship gets shakier and Fran’s powers get stronger. Faced with danger, Sam discovers powers he never thought he had. Now he has to learn to use them before a drug lord, the gangsters or the cops put an end to his first real adventure.
