Ivy Adams is content with her life.

Between family, church, her teaching job and volunteer work at a food pantry, Ivy's life is plenty busy and fulfilling. At least she thinks so. But her mom is determined to play matchmaker and see Ivy married and settled with Brent Connors. Brent's a nice guy, but he's not Ivy's idea of Prince Charming. Then there's Carter Smith...

Carter Smith has his hands full supporting his three children and coping with the loss of his wife. He doesn't have time for distractions...especially beautiful Ivy Adams. Besides, Ivy is Miss Adams, his daughter's teacher. And that's how things should stay.

But as the two are brought together, ignoring their attraction becomes harder. Carter can't stop thinking about Ivy. And Ivy begins to wonder if she's found her happily-ever-after romance.
