About This Book

Phyllis Smith watched as her husband and children were murdered. She was then abused, raped and tortured by these same people. She is befriended by a small, neglected child, and together they escape their world of abuse. However, they are again found by yet another Indian tribe. Surprisingly, they are treated well and soon adopted into the tribe. Together they find a new life and soon realize that they are not worthless. Phyllis finds a new way to love and accepts her new life, and her small friend realizes that she should not have been punished for the deeds of her real mother.
