Outrageous Fortune

Lady Caraddon was a persistent matchmaker for her grandson, Sir James, but he really thought she had gone too far when he had to accompany her to Cornwall to meet Miss Charlotte Forbes. Ambitious, James was intent on carving out a political career in Pitt's government, and he certainly didn't want a wife just yet. First impressions were not favourable, and James was even more perturbed when he discovered that Charlotte's background had a scandal that could rebound even now in 1786!
