Outlaw's Daughter

Ranger Larry Hagenhoff's current assignment was to bring in Brett Davies dead or alive. The outlaw was known to hangout in High Lonesome an outlaw town as wild as a Texas Cyclone. Hagenhoff's arrival set off a chain of events leaving the Ranger scrambling to stay alive. Bud Davies wondered if her father even remembered she was a girl. Her mother had started cutting her hair and dressing her in boy's clothes as soon as she could walk. Davies forced his daughter to accompany him to High Lonesome a town so wicked Bud decided to runaway. But, Davies had ordered Big Mike the livery stable owner not to let Bud have a horse. Unable to flee Bud spent her days caring for Big Mike's horse and watching and waiting for the right opportunity to get away. Was Ranger Hagenhoff her chance at freedom? Bud soon discovered she loved the big dumb Ranger. He did not have a lick of commonsense. Riding into the notorious outlaw town of High Lonesome and his being a Ranger proved this. Bud vowed not to reveal his secret. Yet, she could not help wondering if her new found love was doomed even before Hagenhoff realized she was a girl!
