A 1600-square-mile fortified compound, 120 miles north of Los Angeles. Prime wilderness re-zoned into a vast open-air cage for our nation's worst. An ever growing population of felons released upon the land to fend for themselves.

Within Outerzone violent cons roam free. The catch--they're on they're own--with a hundred thousand others just like themselves. One other thing, they all carry guns.

Noted Caltech physicist, Dr. Carl Warner, has just completed a year-long research sabbatical with an earth-shaking breakthrough. Funded by a billionaire industrialist, Warner is unaware that his ruthless sponsor has no intention of delivering on his promise to share the bounty of the Dr.'s research. On his final solo-flight home from the industrialist's Lake Tahoe lab, Warner is attacked in mid-air. While attempting to escape he crashes inside the Outerzone compound. Dr. Warner's discovery now lies beyond the reach of everyone, except Outerzone's occupants.

No man has ever escaped from Outerzone. But now, one must.
