Out with the Tide

Norfolk, January 1953: in the aftermath of the Great Storm and floods, ex-detective John Lubbock and Chief Inspector Mike Tench are investigating a double murder. Valerie Kingham is found naked in a dinghy, shot in the head; two days later, her husband's body is discovered at the foot of an old tower. When it's discovered that Valerie was having an affair, and that Reginald Kingham was implicated in a murder in India, there is no shortage of suspects. The investigators are struggling - but then Lubbock uncovers a new witness, and the truth finally emerges.
