About This Book

In Out of the Storm, Kyle is charged with Infecting Another with HIV, and Chris uncovers the truth in regards to the boy Kyle allegedly infected. He also meets a new boyfriend, Connor, who is excommunicated from his church by his own father, a religious zealot who is hell bent on changing his son’s sexual orientation.

The story begins a few months after the first book. Kyle has been sent to a reparative therapy ranch where his encounter with another boy results in a serious charge of Knowingly Infecting Another with HIV.

In the first chapter, Chris is on the witness stand being badgered by the prosecuting attorney about his relationship with Kyle. During the course of the trial, his own attorney vowed she would defend him if the questioning became too personal, but she remains mysteriously silent during prosecutor Bud Lyle’s interrogation. While the is in recess, Chris is seated alone in a briefing room when someone slips a paper beneath the door. It is a serious threat against his parents, indicating he should tell the entire truth about his own sexual relationship with Kyle. Chris, fearing that the secret order of the Entity is at work once again behind the scenes, shares only so much with his attorney who he now doesn’t trust. Before leaving court, Chris spots the notorious Carter Monday who has evidently eluded arrest for his murder of Senator Steve Landan. Monday has gone through a transformation, bleaching his hair and suiting up, but his cold, dark eyes bore into Chris, letting him know the secret message he received must be taken seriously.

Thus begins the adventures of Chris, who tries to avoid an encounter with the stalker, Monday, while still trying to support Kyle, who is still on trial for the sexual assault.
