Our Summer Guests

We had unexpected but welcomed guests two years ago. We discovered seven baby foxes under the cottage in the backyard but sadly their mother as well, hit by a car down the road. The Fox Sanctuary owner offered to take them but said that it would be best if we left them where they were born and helped them grow up. She gave us advice not to get close, not to interfere in their lives, just leave food for them. We did and what an experience. Watching them from a distance growing up, playing, fighting for leadership, learning to hunt…they really found their way into our hearts. When in the fall they left the nest we were sad but proud that they all grew up healthy and happy.
