Orphan

Kira was just a curious, young girl. Raised since birth in an orphanage by a secret Order, she had hardly seen the outside world and could only dream of ever exploring its beauty. Plagued by a recurring dream and a priest that speaks of her as the last hope for humanity, she desired to know the truth and why no one had ever adopted her. On a day that was also her birthday, she would discover the truth when warriors of an evil half-man and half-mechanized empire come for her. Rescued by an elite team of warriors, she learns that her dream was all too real and that everything was not as it seemed. And ultimately, she would discover who she really was: She had come from a hidden facility known as Mother's Embrace, genetically engineered using human DNA; a perfect specimen born from an artificial womb. Now she must return to the place where she was born to save the last of humankind being swallowed up by this empire bent on destroying the last of their existence, creating a new one born of machines. But they too seek Kira for she is also the key to the new evolution of this empire.
