About This Book

A narrative that follows the lives of three friends living in a suburban neighborhood and the point at which their lives intersect. There's Harry, the aimless dreamer; Mac, the drug dealer who is tired of the mind expansion set; and Lexi, the naive voice of reason. Each of them are fighting internal struggles that cannot be faced alone; so they use each other as crutches. Mac has resurfaced after years and needs someone he can trust to go through with his questionable schemes; this is where Harry comes in. The nature of almost everything they do is illegal and morals are distorted as more money comes in small portions. The relationship between Lexi and Harry moves from friendship to lovers after much stagnation. A strain is placed on them as strong feelings are never present at the same time and the timing is never right altogether. The two of them turn to horrid vices instead of each other. Ultimately, the realization that they need to get out of each other's way in order to achieve their goals is overwhelming.
