An unknown virus sweeps across the globe, killing the population before anyone knows what's happening. First it's senior citizens, then the middle-aged, and finally, anyone over twelve years of age. Civilization is devastated in a matter of weeks, the adults dying off one by one. But the children may survive, and with luck, perhaps life will continue. Danny Trumane is one such child.
