Help Wanted: Bank of Tonica is seeking gentlemen of good moral character to assist patrons with their finances. Preference given to veterans of the late unpleasantness. Varina Carroll was forced to live a sheltered life. Books were her only escape. When Klint St. John befriended her in the small town of Tonica, she dared to dream she could have a fairy-tale ending. A dark past and a vengeful woman threaten to destroy those dreams.
