Set in New Zealand, in the beautiful Turakina Valley, near the rural town of Marton, in the lower North Island of New Zealand. This is a tale of one young woman, on the run with her child, from a brutal relationship. She is exhausted, broke, hungry and desperate. Then she meets Craig Rogers, a man with a powerful dream. Beautifully written, bittersweet, realistic romantic story. I love the use of the landscape to build a lush atmosphere. I liked the characters, too. This is a story about complex adult relationships. Powerful ending. I recommend this rewarding read.
