One Day at a Time

Some twenty years after they graduated from college, full of hope and plans for the future, Claudia Adams is the envy of her friends. Her husband Todd is a successful investment banker, whose money pays for glamorous Caribbean holidays and a desirable New York home. But appearances are not everything. When Todd's business success turns out to be founded upon a fraud, and their marriage is revealed as a sham, Claudia must find out the hard way about financial insecurity and the realities of the employment market. As a middle-aged woman with no real work experience except as a wife, mother and hostess she is forced to take a low-level job as a saleswoman at Millers Department Store.
