When a bad divorce brings Alicia Brewster home to Mayfly, New Mexico for the first time since her teenage years, she agrees to work in her aunt's ice cream shop in return for a placae to live. Not about to let her ex-husband ruin her Christmas, she throws herself into the town's preparations for the holidays, especially the decorating of the Christmas tree. At the afterparty, she meets Greg Hartford, a handsome businessman who seems to share her enthusiasm for the holidays, and the two spend a magical night together in her new hometown.What neither of them realize is that Greg has been sent to open an ice cream store of his own in Mayfly, making them rivals during what should be the sweetest season of all.
