Deanna Leighton -- She's got a horse he wants. She's also got a quarrel with J. D. Vaughn. Rightly or wrongly, she blames him for her father's bankruptcy and death. So she's determined to stay out of J.D.'s way -- even if he is the most attractive man she's ever laid eyes on....
