The Pict named Tawn, whose blue markings resemble a falcon in flight, has been banished from his clan after being found with another man on the cusp of his wedding.

On his journey from Scotland's east coast, he meets a cheeky stranger and his fearful pet. Drawn to this young man Finn in spite of his reservations, he finds his new companion challenging both his strong beliefs…and his Alpha nature.

Tawn, torn with indecision, appeals to his spirit-guide and discovers a secret that may change his future, and even that of his people.
