About This Book

Octimus is a children?s fiction book that is being told during a short period of time to emphasize how quickly life can change. Adam Driscole is a sad lonely boy whose dad is in jail. Adam?s aunt Blis Sivaine tries to find reasons to visit with Adam since Adam?s mom Katrina has a new boyfriend named, Cobalt, and Blis doesn?t want to intrude. Blis is given a rare octopus and as a gift Blis gives the octopus to Adam. Adam names the octopus Octimus, a name he got from his favorite cartoon Transformers. Within days Adam learns Octimus is real smart. Octimus is able to crawl in and out of his tank unassisted and Adam is even able to teach Octimus to do tricks mimicking an octopus stuffed animal. Adam quickly becomes friends with Octimus. Adam, however is not lucky enough to feel the love of a friendship and tragedy strikes his life one more time.
