When Nurse Kate Linnell is sent on a quiet nursing job to recuperate from grief, she never guesses how eventful her life will be. The idyllic New Zealand home of her patient, Dolly Ward, seems like the perfect spot to get over the shock of her husband's death and the discovery of his infidelities.

She has not reckoned on the emotional disturbance created by the handsome and celebrated Dr. Liam Rogers, Dolly's doctor.
