About This Book

This is a story about (mostly deliberate) misrepresentations, misunderstandings, and unexpected twists among a well-to-do couple, their daughter and her husband, an elderly bookkeeper, and a group of gangsters who call themselves the FBC (Fierce Business Cartel). The greedy Graftons decide they should hasten the demise of her parents, the Serlins, in order to inherit their estate. The Graftons learn that the FBC blame the Serlins for the failure of their recent sneaky scheme for business success. The Graftons set out to persuade the FBC to get revenge by removing the Serlins - or paying the Graftons to do it. This results in the Graftons and the FBC members trying to pressure or trick one another into doing the dirty work. With the Graftons young daughter a complicating factor since the FBC refuse to put any child at substantial risk of harm. The Serlins finally agree to take their grandchild on a trip to a State Park. There the Graftons go to cause an fatal accident to remove the Serlins - while an FBC hit man follows through on a plan to get rid of the Serlins, and if possible the Graftons, at that spot. That with the FBC boss present to witness that for the satisfaction of his revenge on that family except the child.
