Meet Sharnette Humes. A professional woman with a pep in her step and an eyebrow-raising attitude to match. She will not be disrespected, unappreciated, overlooked or taken for a fool. Her father Cletus Humes - a no-nonsense self-made man (at least, that's what he tells everyone) had something to do with the way she turned out. Yet, they couldn't be more different. They've butt heads more than either of them care to remember creating a wedge that seems unfixable.But Sharnette has more serious things to think about - like how she's going to fix her complicated life without hurting the ones she loves the most.
