About This Book

For as long as Mel can remember, the house down the street has always been known as the ‘fruitcake house', and the current owner seems to be no different. In fact, it's very possible that he's even fruitier and nuttier than any of the others before him. Admittedly, Mel is as curious about the fruitcake's idiosyncrasies as the rest of the town, but does not intend to satisfy that curiosity. However, the best laid plans… A summer thunderstorm and a few recalcitrant Christmas decorations change all of that for Mel who learns the important life lesson that in spite of preconceived notions to the contrary, not all fruitcakes are bad.
