No Place Like Home

After living a jet-setting lifestyle thanks to her dad's job, twelve-year-old Kenzie decides it's time for her to plant roots in this heartwarming M!X novel.

Kenzie Rhimes doesn't have a home—she has too many. Her dad's job keeps him flying around the country most of the year, which means "home" is whatever fancy hotel his company puts them up in and "school" takes place 30,000 miles in the air. And since it's just the two of them, she has no choice but to be his travel partner. Even though she loves to travel, she would like to plant her feet longer than two seconds so she can actually try to make a real friend.

When she finds out they'll be staying in Las Vegas for a few months, Dad lets her know that she will be enrolled in a new school temporarily—instead of the home-schooling she was used to. Even though this is longer than she's ever been in one place, Kenzie knows that eventually she will just be on the move yet again. So why not let the cutest boy in school know she's got a thing for him, actually audition for the school play, The Wizard of Oz (her all-time favorite movie), and maybe not follow all the rules to a T like she always has? She'll be leaving soon anyway.
