No More Daddy's Little Girl

In a town south of Atlanta, fifteen-year old Michele Harris has lived her entire life praying and hoping that her father would change and stay around for her and her older brother Jake. This summer she stops worrying and decides to let her father know how she really feels. She then shuts him out of her life and begins to focus on herself. As Michele prepares for a summer of firsts: first job, first shot at popularity, and her first real boyfriend, she has no idea that she will also experience her first broken-heart. She lands her first job and starts dating her first real boyfriend just in time for the Sweetheart Dance at Frederick Douglass High. Just when everything seems to be falling into place, along comes an issue she could never have prepared herself for. Her perfectly planned summer quickly becomes the sole source of her pain and heartache.
