No Good Deed

Daniel Chan is captain of the Riceland, Texas, police department. He's also bi-sexual, and a Chinese-American with his roots set firmly in Texas. He has a fondness for cowboy boots and loves a good joke. Dan's been straddling the sexuality fence his entire life and it's been working for him, sort of, but when he meets Mark Montgomery at the shooting of one of Dan's officers, he's going to have to pick a side. Mark Montgomery is a survivor. Damaged and carrying a ton of baggage, Mark is once again dragged into the spotlight, and it's the last thing he wants. He draws Daniel to him, like a bee to honeysuckle. If Daniel wants Mark, he's going to have to go slow, give up control, and let Mark lead. He's also going to have to come out of the closet and put loyalties, friendship, and his career on the line.
