Nine of Swords is a portrait of the modern day computer dating revolution. Anna is an intuitive housewife who, out of loneliness, falls into the cyber world of chat rooms where she meets Pancrazio. Their mutual attraction is undeniable and a friendship begins. When she is told about Pancrazio and Melody, Anna doesn't give up trying to win his affection. While Pancrazio attempts to develop a long distance romance with Melody, a heartbroken Anna turns to Tarot card readings for insight about Pancrazio where the Nine of Swords card presents itself. When his rocky relationship with Melody fails, Pancrazio tells Anna to come to Minnesota and help him forget his loss.
