There was a handsome hero who would do anything to protect a beautiful, reclusive maiden.... Burned-out cop Joe Scarlatti had a gut feeling that Rowena Willow was in grave danger. She'd testified against a slick con artist and now he was out of jail... and out to get her. Joe knew the lovely long-haired lady guarded her privacy closely.
