Night Out in Fargo

The explosion of a race car in Brainerd, Minnesota paints expressions of terror onto the faces of a United States senator and his staff watching from the grandstand. The senator s nephew dies a fiery death, and thus begins a series of hostile actions in the Borders Lake area of Minnesota and the city of Fargo, North Dakota. Tom Hastings property is within view of the senator s lake complex, and once again he is pulled into the world of greed and hard-striking criminals. He sees the senator s dock from his deck. He watches with interest as flashing lights of emergency vehicles and police cars visit the complex. Tom is especially interested because his old friend, Julie Huffman, is a member of the senator s staff. Hastings is confused, not only because of the suspenseful activities at the senator s complex but also the strange hissing sound in the cornfield next to his property. Armed guards block him from investigating the mystery at the abandoned farmstead.
