New Zealand Nurse

It had been a big decision to leave England, but Sister Alison Prentice soon knew she was going to love her new life in New Zealand, in charge of the children's ward of Fort William Hospital. Unfortunately, she soon realized she was going to love Steve Barratt, the pediatric registrar – and that was not going to be such a happy experience! For not only was Steve continually critical of what he saw as Alison's too-rigid insistence on discipline, but she knew she would only ever be just one more scalp on his belt.
