Devastated by her recent divorce, Sabrina Matthews returns to her hometown of Savannah, Georgia, with her eight-year-old daughter in tow. Fed up with the uncertainty of romance, the struggling single mom vows she will never open her heart to the possibility of a love gone wrong again. But then she meets Malcolm Winters, a prominent cardiologist. He, too, is reeling from a personal crisis.
