Never Date a Magician

On a free flight to Hawaii, Penelope Polyglass spots handsome man in a spotless white suit ... way too many times; at the airport in Seattle, on her plane, and she gets stuck sharing a cab with him to Waikiki. He introduces himself as Emerson Eastgate, known onstage as Emmerich the Amazing, a professional magician. After several more weird coincidences, Penelope realizes that she can prove that he's stalking her. She confronts him in the hotel bar, determined to rid her life of him. They end up sitting together for hours, discussing the secrets of his trade. Then, after hours of drinking and dancing, Penelope and Emerson spend an paradisiacal night together. Weird coincidences continue to occur, yet Penelope is smart, and she tricks Emerson into revealing information that he couldn't possibly know. Confronted, Emerson confesses to Penelope the truth: the real purpose of stage magic is to make it appear that all magic is fake ... but it's not. And the reason why he's been pursuing her is that Penelope can do the magic, too!
