Neutralized!

On September 11, 2001, the World Trade Center in New York City was destroyed by terrorists. Now nine years later, former Olympian gymnast Deena Moore and former NYPD detective Javier Sanchez lead a team of adventurers known as the Neutrals: Gunner, Olympic, Bomb, Sneak, and Microchip. Bomb has recently died in an accident, leaving the team a quartet. Special Ops has long had a 'hands-off' policy with them, because frankly they did a lot of good. Ops has its own problems, dealing with torture magicians and other dangerous paranormals. But when the Neutrals take on a job to hit one of Ops' own agents, battle lines are drawn on both sides. Meanwhile, the survivors of Quafara and Kay Snow's efforts in Snowline to torture victims to generate the energy to resurrect Quafara's lover Elkrod struggle in Las Vegas to recover. Kylie in particular holds a chilling secret that could destroy not only herself but the Neutrals and all of Special Operations. She's now a walking . . . Bomb.
