The danger further snowballs when he rescues a gorgeous human woman from her violent ex. A woman he can't seem to let go. Brynn Monash was never a believer in fairytales, until her knight in shining armor appears and saves the day. Too bad her knight comes with scales and a fin, as well as bloodthirsty enemies determined to hunt him down. But Nero will do everything he must to keep them both alive and safe, even if he has to draw on every one of his unstable alien powers to do so. Then Nero realizes Brynn isn't some helpless damsel in distress and there is more to her than meets the eye.
