Ten years ago, Lyric Monroe was abandoned on the side of the road by a so-called friend. With limited battery life on her phone, Lyric makes a call that changes the course of her life forever. Suddenly finding herself in Wildwood, New Jersey, Lyric is given the opportunity to start over and hone her talent as a lyricist for the band, Just Breathe. Two years later, Lyric has real friends and Just Breathe is starting to take off. Where things get complicated is that Rhett and Galen Martin, the founding members of Just Breathe are strictly off limits but Lyric finds it hard to maintain a distance because not only are they playing her music but she lives with them. While things were far from perfect, they were good until an unexpected tragedy. What happened next might be considered quite the scandal but it wouldn’t be the first for Miss Monroe.
