2035, and the USA is in financial debt and has sold off all its prisons to private companies. To make the prisons financially profitable, the private companies offer the public an opportunity to buy prison time. Troy Baker is 23 years old and has a need to feel what prison is really like without the stigma of a prison record, so buys a 3 month stint in a Californian prison, but what he does not know is that the prison company get paid for his sentence for 3 months by the State Government, and don't want to lose this money. Troy's 3 months become 2 years then 8 years on a chain gang, and then he is sentenced to lethal injection: His unit, car and possessions are confiscated and sold. Troy manages to get in touch with his partner Martin, but his constant moves from prison and sentence to Lethal Injection make it hard for Martin to trace his whereabouts and if he is still alive.
