Sex sells in Osaka's Shinsekai neighborhood, and anything can be had for a price. When a teenage runaway turns up dead, an outreach worker has little faith in the police and instead hires private investigator Kyoko Nakamura to find the killer.

Kyoko also has no faith in the local police. She used to be one of them, until politics prevented her from helping a stalking victim and drove her to go solo. But as a PI, her reach is limited, and she has little choice but to join forces with an antagonistic former colleague.

As the body count rises, Kyoko faces pressure on all sides. Can she find the killer before another girl is lured on a murder walk?
