About This Book

Aboard the secretly owned NIMBUS transport Proclaim, Stormer and his crew are afflicted by a disease that causes each to hallucinate. Being in a highly suggestible state of mind at the moment the disease hits, they believe anything they are told at that precise moment. Volatile Stormer believes himself to be a Lancinair of the highest order of the unemotional. Siege imagines himself, rather than Stormer, to be Captain of the Proclaim. Ki-la'ck believes that Liege is not Stormer's son, but his own. Lore simply assigns new names and identities to everyone aboard the Proclaim. Liege has endangered the peace talks between the Guild Sector and the Puerilians by tampering with the computers that drive the Proclaim. Thirty-one has forgotten the truth he has embraced, not remembering what he has learned from the Ancient Book: The Bible. The Mulckites are threatening to destroy, not only the Proclaim but also the entire Guild Sector, believing that NIMBUS has taken a Mulckite citizen hostage. Peace can come only at the hands of the venerated peace prince, but he is the very Mulckite citizen who has supposedly been taken hostage. He also lies at death's door, awaiting the Proclaim's arrival, bringing a surgeon who alone can save his life. But before the Proclaim can return to help the peace prince, she must first carry her crew to attend the Puerilian peace talks. Due to Liege's tampering, they are already days late in arriving at the peace talks. This tardiness alone has the potential to spark all out war with the Puerilians...
