Elizabeth Bennet married a Fitzwilliam, but it wasn't Mr. Darcy.

Elizabeth Bennet Fitzwilliam has never met her deceased husband's parents because he was estranged from them himself. They don't know about Elizabeth nor her son.

But the Matlocks have lost their eldest son a few short years after the colonel's death and must designate a male heir. Mr. Darcy is their choice since they have no knowledge of young Richard Fitzwilliam.

Elizabeth must go to London and see if she can safely reveal the truth so that her son may take his rightful place in the Fitzwilliam family.
