The Expedition

When Charlotte Pelham reads of an opening for a guide on a walking tour across Northern England, she is delighted, for she needs the money and no one knows the route better than she. But since no one would hire a lady for such a task, Charlotte applies as one Charles Pelham -- and is eagerly accepted.

But the forests, rivers and hills that stretch before Charlotte and her charges pale in comparison with the other obstacles she will have to face. Her most immediate worry is a handsome stranger, Mr. Harrison Montgomery, who has joined the group at the last minute, on a mysterious quest of his own. Now, if only Charlotte can keep her mind on the trek ahead -- and keep herself from falling for this striking outsider...
