Talk about film noir. Stanley Hastings's first foray as a screenwriter was turning into a disaster. Following the appearance of an unidentified dead man on the set and a series of bizarre accidents, the private eye-turned screenwriter was himself suddenly under suspicion by the NYPD. It's not that Stanley wouldn't like to kill a few of the movie people who were killing his script. It's just that at this moment Stanley has his hands full--trying to stop someone from doing in not only his screenplay, but also his life...
