All about Evie!

Evie Vaughn is a struggling but devoted single parent of three boys. She has quips to spare but never any cash. She's about to spend a summer working with brawny but brainy ex-football hero Joe Scalotta. He's a single parent, too, and he's just moved to tiny Oak Grove, Iowa, where he plans to raise his teenage daughter the small-town way.

Joe's arrival threatens Evie's scheme to earn money to put her kids through college. Evie can deal with that. What she can't handle is the man himself. She's wowed by Joe, but she's sworn "never again" where great-looking men are concerned.

Joe's not about to let Evie off the hook. She gets his blood humming, and he's full of admiration -- and soon love -- for the woman who undeniably deserves an award for Mother of the Year!
