JD Hamilton didn't like women. Or maybe he liked them a little too much. Either way, because of what the government had done to him, he had resigned himself to living the life of a monk on his ranch in Texas. But his brother had other ideas that involved a cleaner house, and, more importantly, hot, edible meals. Enter Jessica Bates: spoiled youngest daughter, dreamer extraordinaire, wannabe writer who packed up and drove to Texas, wanting to explore the "real" cowboy life.
