Moonwind

Bethkahn is an astral body. Long ago, she and a team of explorers landed on a small moon to repair their starship. The explorers flew to a nearby planet and never returned. Now their descendants have arrived on the small moon where Bethkahn has been suspended for 10,000 years. Bethkahn has only one hope for escape: to find a human who will let her share its body and repair the ship.

Gareth, a teenager from Wales, has won a trip to the moon. Some prize, Gareth thinks--the moon is a place of terrifying loneliness and isolation. He begins to feel Bethkahn's loneliness and the tremendous need that is pulling him to her. But joining Bethkahn means leaving his earthly body behind forever.
