Picking up a hitchhiker in a blizzard was a dangerous thing to do, but Lily Danziger was already living on the edge. Having run from the so-called security of New England society, she and her newborn were on their own -- destination unknown. She was willing to risk rescuing this taciturn cowboy, known only as Quist.

Before the day was out, however, Lily's rugged fellow traveler was doing the rescuing. If it hadn't been for Quist, Lily and her baby would have died in their snowbound car As it was, he not only found them warm shelter, he also began to generate some heat of his own. And by the time it was safe to go their separate ways, Lily knew she had to follow Quist -- and her heart -- no matter how rough the journey....
