Mom is a Dirty Word

When Lara Guthrie gets the opportunity of a lifetime, an unexpected chance to drive one race in the top tier of stock car racing, she thinks she's reached the pole position of her life: a great job, a wonderful fiancé in Nate Rickert, and a real chance to impress real sponsors who might offer her a car of her own to drive. But when Lara passes out during the post-race celebration, and finds out she's pregnant, it's like her whole world is spinning out of control. Her unplanned pregnancy complicates her relationship with Nate, with her bosses, who are also Nate's parents, and with the whole racing community. It also threatens her health which gives her ugly past a chance to catch up with her and make her face the fact that in her family, Mom is a Dirty Word. Lara must heal her past if she hopes to claim the checkered flag of her dreams...or else she will surely crash-and-burn.
