Quinn Hathaway wants a job as a fishing guide in Alaska for the Modoc Adventures Company. Co-owner of the Modoc, Liam Lund, doubts Quinn can handle a fishing boat in the rough Alaskan waters and keep his male clients—who come to Alaska to catch fish—safe and happy. But Liam's mother has been doing just that for years. With an adventurous style, Modoc Summer explores the Modoc crew's search for affiliation, friendship, and family while blending the splendor and hardiness of the Alaskan wilderness with the grace and security of a very big boat.
