Mix Me a Murder

Scott Lumly is invited to attend the grand opening of Acrylic, a bar-slash-bistro, by his friend Erica Perzyk. The introduction of the owner, Akio Kitagawa internationally renowned mixologist, is interrupted by a boisterous man declaring he is a guest. The rowdy man finally takes a seat at Scott and Ericas table. Shortly after, the owner collapses while greeting Erica in the reception line. Security locks down the room, the police arrive and the attendees are interrogated. When Scott and the intruding man are questioned, he informs the police he was told to attend, the conversation expands and soon more facts are laid out that create questions for which no one has answers. After an unexpected visit on his job from the boisterous man at the Acrylic opening, Scott agrees to work with him to find some answers. [A Novelette]
